Austin, Texas — St. David’s HealthCare announced today that several of its facilities were named among Healthgrades 2026 State Rankings. This places St. David’s Medical Center (including Heart Hospital of Austin and St. David’s Georgetown Hospital) as No. 1 in Texas for cardiology services, No. 2 in Texas for cardiac care and joint replacement, No. 3 in Texas for stroke care, and No. 4 in Texas for neurosciences and vascular surgery. St. David’s North Austin Medical Center received recognition as No. 3 in Texas for critical care and No. 4 in Texas for cranial neurosurgery. Healthgrades state rankings recognize the top ranked hospitals in each state that deliver superior patient outcomes across 16 service lines.

In addition to these honors, St. David’s Medical Center, St. David’s North Austin Medical Center and St. David’s South Austin Medical Center also received Healthgrades 2026 America’s Best Specialty Awards, placing these hospitals among the top in the nation for a range of specialties.

“These rankings are a reflection of our ongoing commitment to providing world-class care right here in Central Texas,” David Huffstutler, president and CEO of St. David’s HealthCare, said. “To be recognized as the best in the state—and among the best in the country — for specialties such as cardiology, stroke and neurosurgery is an incredible honor, but more importantly, it affirms that patients in our region don’t need to travel to receive exceptional care. They can trust that the expertise, innovation and outcomes they’re looking for are available close to home.”

Healthgrades evaluates hospital performance across more than 30 common procedures and conditions. Only a select percentage of hospitals nationwide receive top-tier specialty awards.
