New chief financial officer named at St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center

St. David's Round Rock Medical Center is excited to announce that Amanda McCann has been named the chief financial officer.

Round Rock, TX — St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center has named Amanda McCann as the facility’s new chief financial officer. McCann assumed her new role on Sept. 14.

“Amanda has a proven track record of guiding financial strategy while also supporting teams who deliver excellent patient care within our system,” JW Newman, chief executive officer of St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center, said. “Her leadership will play a key role in advancing our hospital’s mission and ensuring we continue to serve the Williamson County community with the highest level of care.”

Most recently, McCann served as chief financial officer at Heart Hospital of Austin since June 2023. In that role, she provided oversight of financial reporting and $20 million in capital improvement investments, including multiple clinical equipment and facility improvements. Prior to that, she was the assistant chief financial officer at St. David’s Medical Center and also served as the director of finance for HCA Healthcare’s Central and West Texas Division. HCA Healthcare is St. David’s HealthCare’s national hospital operating partner. 

McCann received a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Texas Christian University.
