Our hospital is an acute care facility dedicated to the highest level of women’s health services. The facility also features a 24-hour emergency department, weight loss center, cardiology care and neurosurgery, as well as kidney transplants and both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation.

St. David’s North Austin Medical Center

St. David’s North Austin Medical Center, part of St. David’s HealthCare, is a full-service medical center providing comprehensive medical care at two locations – St. David’s North Austin Medical Center and St. David’s Surgical Hospital.


St. David’s North Austin Medical Center is a 465-bed multi-specialty, acute care facility dedicated to the highest level of women’s health services, including maternity and newborn care with Level I, II and III nurseries at the adjacent St. David’s Women’s Center of Texas; minimally invasive gynecological surgery; and comprehensive breast imaging services operated through on-site provider Solis Mammography. The facility also features a 24-hour emergency department, pediatric emergency care and intensive care at St. David’s Children’s Hospital, the Texas Institute for Robotic Surgery, bariatric surgery, Heart and Vascular Center, neurology and neurosurgery, a kidney transplant program, a Level IV Epilepsy Center, inpatient and outpatient surgery, and acute inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, among many others.  

St. David’s Women’s Center of Texas

St. David’s Women’s Center of Texas, located on the campus of St. David's North Austin Medical Center, is designated as a Level IV Maternal Facility by the State of Texas and provides the highest possible comprehensive care for pregnant and postpartum patients with the most complex medical, surgical and/or obstetrical conditions, including those with a high risk of maternal morbidity or mortality. The facility includes a 97-bed Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, including 31 private rooms, 12 small baby rooms and 11 neuro beds; 36 labor, delivery and recovery rooms, including Central Texas’ first low-intervention birthing suites with tubs; 97 postpartum beds; 24 antepartum beds; Cesarean section surgical suites; 24/7 neonatology coverage; obstetrics and gynecology hospitalists; maternal-fetal medicine physicians; lactation consultants; and a midwifery program. St. David’s Women’s Center of Texas is a member of the National Institute of Child Health Development Maternal-Fetal Medicine Units Network, TexasAIM and features a high-risk pregnancy navigation and support program.


St. David’s Children’s Hospital

St. David’s Children’s Hospital is located at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center, the first Level 4 epilepsy center in Central Texas for adults and children. With a separate, dedicated 24-hour emergency department, medical-surgical inpatient unit and pediatric intensive care unit for children ages 17 and under, it is staffed with pediatric emergency physicians, pediatric hospitalists, intensivists and other specialties expressly trained to care for children, as well as certified child-life specialists. St. David’s Children’s Hospital provides patients with a wide array of pediatric services, including pediatric surgery; pediatric radiology for interpretation of studies, as well as interventional services; pediatric anesthesia for surgical support; and a wide range of pediatric specialties available for consult and treatment, including general surgery, ENT, craniofacial and plastic surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, urology, and cardiology, among others.


St. David's Surgical Hospital

St. David's Surgical Hospital, a campus of St. David’s North Austin Medical Center, is a destination surgical hospital specializing in orthopedic, gynecological, urological, breast and reconstructive surgery, among others. Located in North Austin, the facility includes 46 spacious inpatient rooms, 10 operating room suites, an inpatient rehabilitation unit with a therapy gym and 20 private rooms, ADL/occupational therapy suite, imaging, pharmacy, lab services and core nursing, therapy, and leadership teams.
